Dear piece of paper and pen,
she(mom) as been gone for one and a half days now. it's sad to say, and even sadder to think, but i believe you two are the only ones i can trust. you'll always be there, never willingly spill my secrets, or laugh at me. that's why i've decided to keep a journal/diary/whatever you want to call this. i'll no doubt forget about you, but hopefully i write enough that i'l have something to read back on one day.

please don't get misplaced before the next time i need you.
